I joined the Association for Contemporary Jewellery during the summer and I’ve been to a few of the meetings held in Dundee as well as invites to a pearl stringing workshop and an invite to an exhibition in Tayberry Gallery in Perth.
” The Association for Contemporary Jewellery is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad”
The Dundee group are very friendly and welcoming and it’s a great way to meet experienced jewellers, gallery owners and others just starting out in jewellery design.
A student membership is just £20 per year and once you join you can add your own profile page to the website. You also receive a monthly e-bulletin and their quarterly magazine – “Findings” packed with interesting articles and images.
